Since opening its doors in 1995, Desert Vista High School has been inspiring, “Excellence through Performance.” At Desert Vista, we also believe that in addition to successful experiences in the classroom; activities and athletics are integral to a positive high school experience. We are home to one of the state’s strongest athletic programs, with 46 state championships and two national championships for our boy’s track team. We are also proud to offer students more than 75 clubs and outstanding activities to get involved on campus.
In Game 4 of the 2022 Honor Bowl, Desert Vista returns to The Honor Bowl when they first appeared in 2019 and are thrilled to have another opportunity to experience this event. Head Coach Jake Swindler will guide his team to play Thunder ball and with pride represent one of three teams from the Copper State. Senior QB Jackson Akins will lead his team a productive ’21 season with 860 yds and 7 TDs as well as rushing for 217 yds and 1 TD. Two Senior WRs Michael Allison and Eric Miller will add to their junior numbers. Junior RB Christian Clark will help in the backfield.
